Yes, not only are bankers extremely conservative but the major UK banks all have worldwide operations including US subsidiaries.

sportsbook.com is in ties with paradise..

so sportsbook is out too?

it looks like their out period.....all that talk from the CEO over the last 2 weeks about sticking it out in the US, he must have come home to his legal team who had some news for him

the big question lies in neteller, forget stars, ub, ftp etc, it means nothing if you cant get money to and from

and with shady alternative payment solutions, you lose 80% of the FISH who come online to play poker

UB Software Provider Out - The Merry-go-round continues

http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showflat.php?Cat=0&Number=7640902&an=0&page=0#Post7640902

Software providers are a dime a dozen...they're definitely the easiest link in the "chain" of online gaming to replace. I'm sure there's countless privately owned software companies all over the world that are salivating at the possibility of getting their piece of the 12 billion plus worldwide pie of online gambling...

The UO thing is just like the SBT thing, transferring from public to private.

This is the part that amazes me about their statement: Why in the hell are they recognizing certain state laws now but not before????

Please be assured that all US customers will continue to be able to access their accounts and submit cashout requests as normal. Although we will no longer be able to accept their additional deposits, to ensure a professional wind-down for our US customers, they will continue to be able to play at our real money tables with the funds they already have on deposit at Paradise until November 13th 2006. The only players that will not be able to continue playing at our real money tables are players located in one of the following states, where some form of online gambling legislation already exists:

* Utah
* Hawaii
* Michigan
* Indiana
* Oregon
* Nevada
* Washington
* Illinois
* Louisiana
* South Dakota

This place isn't paradise... trust me.

Glad to see Paradise Poker leaving. I heard stories of the flamboyant canadiens that worked there. I see a pattern with canadiens in costa rica. They seem to like to be stupid and live lavishly but wonder why they get robbed all the time or have problems in general.

Look at Calvin Ayre as another example.
